For 42 years, Perspectives has provided topical content that is NSGC member-driven and uniquely relevant for genetic counselors. I am delighted to announce that Perspectives is evolving into a new format! Perspectives will now be the name of NSGC’s integrated content hub, a digital collection of publications and resources that will leverage the depth and breadth of NSGC’s content from multiple sources.
The new content hub will contain select columns and featured articles from each quarterly issue of Perspectives, while still allowing NSGC members to access the full digital magazine. In addition, the Perspectives content hub will house past magazine articles, NSGC blog content, articles from NSGC leadership, committees and SIGs, information about current NSGC events and activities, and other timely features about diversity, equity and inclusion, our federal and state advocacy efforts, and more.
The transition to a Perspectives content hub is exciting and forward-thinking for several reasons. First, it’s flexible. The format permits regular uploading of new content ensuring that the featured content is topical and timely. It’s inclusive. By housing content from a variety of sources that addresses a wide range of topics and interests, the Perspectives content hub will be a centralized place to feature diverse views and voices of genetic counselors. It’s shareable. In today’s increasingly digital world where much of the content we digest is shared via social media or text, the Perspectives content hub will create further opportunities for NSGC’s content to reach a larger and more diverse audience, bolstering genetic counselors as thought leaders within the healthcare field.
So, go ahead! Read, binge and, share. There is now a new way to celebrate the diverse perspectives of genetic counselors.
